Festival Internacional De Danzas 2006
Fue un rotundo éxito la participación de la escuela de danzas orientales bajo la Dirección de la Compañía Vanessa Angulo & Su Grupo en las dos entregas que realizara nuestra institución los días 4 y 8 de julio del 2006, en el Primer Festival Internacional de Academias de Danzas con el auspicio de la Secretaría de Estado de Cultura y la Dirección General de Bellas Artes.
Este evento de singular importancia tuvo como finalidad «estrechar lazos con países hermanos compartiendo experiencias y conocimientos a través del lenguaje común de la danza».
El mismo fue efectuado en la Sala Manuel Rueda del Edificio Escuelas de Bellas Artes en Santo Domingo, con la participación de varias academias nacionales e internacionales representantes de Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela y Estados Unidos.
Entre los diferentes géneros de danza que desfilaron en esta actividad el Belly Dance o Danza Oriental tuvo muy buena acogida del público que disfrutó este festival, tanto en el opening como en el acto de Clausura, con 2 de los más aplaudidos temas musicales: RAKS y EGIPTIAN MIX y las participantes demostraron que no se necesita tener un cuerpo espectacular para bailar esta hermosa danza, sino dedicación y esfuerzo.
