La danza tribal norteamericana estuvo por primera vez en el pais promocionada por Vanessa Angulo & Su Grupo de Danzas Orientales, al traer a Santo Domingo a la gran profesora y coreografa «Heather Stants» la precursora de la danza tribal en San Diego, California.
Este taller se realizo los días 23 y 24 de Febrero del 2008 en Santo Domingo, auspiciado por Vanessa Angulo & Su Grupo. Heather Stants es la fundadora de la compañía de Danza Tribal más famosa de los Estados Unidos: URBAN TRIBAL DANCE COMPANY.Heather nos brindo 2 exquisitas coreografias de Danza Tribal, las cuales seran presentadas en nuestro proximo expectaculo «Ritmo, Estilos y Danzas Folkloricas del Oriente», los proximos dias 12 y 13 de julio del 2008.
